An old growth forest, the Nehalem River and the sea--mystery and power in harmony.

September 17: Shimmering sunshine on crystal and china. Blue hydrangeas in cobalt blue glass. Smells of
autumn from the wind. Aromas of sweetness from the kitchen. Laughter, hugging, communion.
September 19: Sitting on a dune at the beach in Manzanita...seeing the fog blow in from the ocean and glide
through the trees in the valley. Sunshine makes the fog even more opaque. The rush of the waves a loud
whisper in the background.
Thick... The weekend was that way. Thick. Yes, heavy, dense, but also rich, luscious, sweet and creamy.
Deep forest. Coyote song. Woodsmoke. Lives lived long ago. Mist. Love. Emotion. Flavors. So here's to
life's thickness.
