Ten Years of Trips
The Beginning of the Story--November 1998
In 1998 when the oak trees were just giving up the last of their leaves, and the river had rain to fill  its
throat and the quiet was full of Great Mother Nature--

          clouds drew pictures,
birds followed us along the paths,
trees and rocks had inner lives.

days; but, there I was, wandering upon Her body, gazing into Her eyes, feeling Her
    tenderness and power.

It was a miraculous opening to a different kind of life, to an awareness of spiritual purpose and
engagement with deep soul work.

For me, it was astounding to discover a new place, a new way of being in the world. I prayed I would
never recover.

Happily, I never have.
It all began one gray and wet November day...

We begin to notice the power of quiet, of keen
observation, of listening and sensing.

We leave off classifying and analyzing things
and instead take time to experience life in its
amazing and endless forms. We are enriched.

We are re-wilded.
“I had a wonderful time and
I had no idea it would
change my life.  I came back
very centered, rested, and
reconnected with
Nature.”     JK, writer
